The Border is a movie that follows the lives of two young people, Julia Roberts and Diego Luna, who are caught in the middle of a war between Mexico and Texas. The film features an American soldier named Chris Terriquez who is stationed at the United States-Mexico border during one of these wars. He helps people cross illegally across into Mexico to escape the violence back home. While this sounds pretty serious, I recommend taking this opportunity to watch it with your significant other if you're having some problems in your relationship right now. It can be just what you need to get through tough times together. This movie is one of those movies that makes you feel like you're one of the characters. I think it's because I myself have crossed illegally into Mexico before (not to escape war or anything like that, but to take a trip). I felt like I was the one crossing the border because I had done it before. The Border is an award-winning film, and has even won several Ariel Awards, which are Mexican equivalent of the Oscars. The Ariel Award was presented by the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences in 2007. I was planning on streaming The Border online for free, but then I found out that you can buy it on Amazon Video on Demand instead. The Border is also available on iTunes.
